It is like a drink of cool refreshing water on a scorching August afternoon.

That’s why it’s important to daily hear the Word … the good news! Romans 10:17 says –

“… faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God”.

It’s pretty obvious what would happen if I called you every hour and gave you a bad report. After a while your heart would faint. Discouragement would set in. You would be defeated.

That’s why Hebrews 13:3 says…

"When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility (Jesus) plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls! "

(The Message)

Daily we need to go over again and again the gospel story…the good news…the fact that God loves us and gave Jesus to the world…the fact that Jesus bore the curse in his own body and we are redeemed from sin, sickness, poverty and death! Hallelujah!

Here’s part of the “good news” that’s refreshing to meditate upon:

"For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ." Romans 5:17

The Scripture speaks of two different ways we can pass through this life. We can identify with Adam and experience death. Or, we can identify with Jesus and reign in righteousness and abundance of grace. The choice is ours!

I remember when I first heard the gospel. It seemed too good to be true. Was it possible that life did not end on this earth? Was it true that I could live eternally? Was there really a God and did He REALLY care? It seemed too good to be true.

And then I found out it was true and my life changed completely!
As time went on I discovered that it was even better than I originally thought. Jesus defeated death and raised the believer up with him so that we might reign with him in THIS life! Wow! Now, that means I don’t have to wait until I get to heaven to experience victory. Hallelujah!

The word “reign” literally means, “to be king, to exercise kingly power”.

Imagine being a king and knowing that all of heaven supports and sustains you daily! Heaven promises to supply all of your needs and to daily fill you with joy and peace. A king decrees a thing and it is established. That’s what Job 22:28 says…

"You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways."

Why can this be so?

Because Jesus raised us up together with him when he was raised up from the dead.

"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (that in the ages to come) He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 2:4-7

Friend, don’t let a bunch of negative reports throw you for a loop! Keep looking to the good news, the good report - the gospel!!! Keep declaring with your lips the promises of God. Keep God’s Word before your eyes and His promises in your heart. Remember, Jesus said –

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." John 15:7

Recently we have been flooded with good reports! We have had reports of believers healed from terminal diseases. We have had reports of financial turnaround and supernatural debt removal. God is working mightily in spite of all the negative things happening in our world!

All of these reports came about as people refused to limply stare at impossible circumstances. Instead, they determined to look to the Word and speak in line with the Word.

To help you keep your faith active, I have enclosed a list of scriptures to meditate upon and confess daily. Make a quality decision to daily see and say with your mouth the following scriptures. Personalize them by saying “I” or by including your name.
In Jeremiah 1:12 God literally says, “I am watching over My Word to perform it!” Hallelujah! He will do it for you!

Welcome to Faith Communications!

Beginning August 1st, take advantage of our Faith Communication newsletters now available online.
